Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This Refund Policy applies to purchases from George Iacono trading as DRGEORGEAI (ABN 35 958 983 407) ("we", "us", "our"), through drgeorgeai.com. It covers our digital book ("AI for CPD") and our paid training, workshops and speaking services.
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law come first
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our products are digital, and the ACL consumer guarantees apply to digital products in the same way they apply to other goods and services. That means our products must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be reasonably fit for any purpose we describe. We cannot and do not give you "no refunds" terms that take away these rights.
If a consumer guarantee is not met, you may also be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by the failure. These rights are in addition to any refund, replacement, repair or other remedy available under the ACL.
2. If there is a problem with the Book (faulty, not as described, or inaccessible)
If the Book is faulty, significantly not as described, or you cannot access it after purchase, you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL:
- Major failure: if the problem is major (for example, the Book is substantially not what was described, or cannot reasonably be made fit for its stated purpose), you can choose a refund or a replacement, and you may also claim compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by the failure.
- Minor failure: if the problem is minor and can be put right, we will fix it first, usually by re-supplying a corrected or working file, or restoring your access, within a reasonable time. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you may then be entitled to a refund or replacement.
To make a claim, contact us with your order details and a description of the problem (see section 5).
3. Change of mind on the Book
Because the Book is a digital product that is delivered immediately, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once you have downloaded or accessed it. Once access has been provided, the product is considered delivered.
This change-of-mind position is separate from, and does not affect, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for a faulty or non-conforming product, which are described in sections 1 and 2.
4. Training, workshops and speaking services
Your ACL rights for services. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for any purpose you have told us about, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time is agreed. If a Service has a major failure, you may cancel and obtain a refund for any unused part of the Service, or keep the contract and recover compensation for the difference between what you received and what you paid for. For a non-major failure, we may first be given a reasonable opportunity to put it right. In either case you may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by the failure.
Cancellation by you. The cancellation terms for each paid Service, including any notice periods and the amount (if any) that is refundable, will be set out clearly before you pay or book. Not attending a session you have booked does not, on its own, entitle you to a refund.
Cancellation by us. If we cancel or reschedule a Service and you cannot attend the new time, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount you paid for that Service.
5. How to request a refund or remedy
Contact us using the details below and include:
- your name and the email used for the purchase
- your order or receipt number, if you have it
- a description of the problem or your request.
We will respond within a reasonable time and let you know the outcome and next steps.
6. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method, through our storefront (Payhip) and payment provider (PayPal). Processing times depend on those providers and your financial institution.
