Medical and AI Disclaimer

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This Disclaimer applies to drgeorgeai.com (the "Site"), the book "AI for CPD" (the "Book"), and the training, workshops and speaking services (the "Services") provided by George Iacono trading as DRGEORGEAI (ABN 35 958 983 407) ("we", "us", "our"). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Please read it carefully.

1. Educational and informational only

The Site, the Book and the Services provide general educational and informational content about using artificial intelligence (AI) tools for continuing professional development (CPD), documentation and professional learning. They are provided for general education only.

2. Not medical, clinical or professional advice

The Site, the Book and the Services:

  • do not constitute medical, clinical, legal, regulatory, financial or other professional advice
  • do not provide clinical decision support, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or patient-specific advice of any kind
  • must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage any individual patient.

You should always exercise your own professional judgement and, where appropriate, seek independent professional, legal or regulatory advice for your own circumstances.

3. Professional responsibility

If you are a registered health practitioner, you remain professionally accountable for your own clinical practice, for your CPD, and for how you evaluate and use any AI tool in your practice, consistent with the guidance of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Medical Board of Australia on the use of AI in healthcare. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or transfers any responsibility we may have for the accuracy of our own representations, for our own conduct, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. AI outputs must be independently verified

AI tools can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, biased or entirely fabricated ("hallucinated"). Any output from an AI tool must be independently checked and verified by you against authoritative sources and your own professional judgement before you rely on or act on it. AI is a tool that supports, and does not replace, professional judgement.

5. Using AI safely in your own practice

If you apply anything you learn from us in clinical or clinical-adjacent work, you are responsible for using AI safely and within your professional obligations. This includes, as relevant to your setting:

  • understanding the intended purpose, capabilities and limitations of any tool you use
  • maintaining meaningful human oversight of AI outputs and not simply deferring to them
  • considering bias and the impact of AI on different patient groups
  • being transparent with patients where AI materially affects their care, and obtaining consent where the law or your professional obligations require it
  • documenting clinically material use of AI and your verification of its outputs
  • using only tools that are approved or permitted in your setting, and meeting cybersecurity and records-management requirements
  • monitoring AI outputs, reporting incidents through the appropriate channels, and stopping use of a tool where its safety or reliability is uncertain
  • maintaining appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

6. No warranty about AI tools, and no endorsement

We make no warranty that any AI tool, product or approach described or discussed is accurate, safe, reliable, appropriate or compliant for your particular setting, patients or obligations. Where we simply name or describe a third-party AI tool, this is for educational purposes only and is not an endorsement. Where we positively recommend a tool, or have any commercial interest in it (such as a sponsorship, affiliate arrangement, free or discounted access, or a speaking fee), we will disclose that. You are responsible for evaluating any tool before you use it.

7. Patient data and AI tools

Do not enter patient or other confidential information into any AI tool unless its use has been authorised under applicable law, your professional obligations and your organisation's governance, and you have met all consent and privacy requirements. Removing names alone may not adequately de-identify information, because rare details or a combination of facts can still identify a person. Consent does not remove the need to meet security, confidentiality, records-management and governance requirements.

8. No doctor-patient relationship

Using the Site, the Book or the Services does not create a doctor-patient relationship between George Iacono and you or your patients. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written engagement, our Services do not include patient-specific clinical advice or any assurance about implementing AI in your practice or organisation.

9. No guarantee of CPD or other outcomes

We do not guarantee that any content, the Book or the Services will satisfy the CPD, registration or college requirements that apply to you. Confirming what counts towards your CPD, and recording it correctly, is your responsibility. You should check your own college and regulator requirements.

10. External links and third-party content

The Site and our content may reference or link to third-party websites, tools and materials that we do not control and are not responsible for. Accessing them is at your own risk and subject to the relevant third party's terms.

11. Liability

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or misleading or deceptive conduct. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site, the Book, the Services, or any AI tool discussed. The full liability terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
